Three Visiting Professor Positions for Academic Year 2010-2011
Fordham University, Bronx, NY

The Fordham University Graduate School of Religion and Religious Education is seeking three Visiting Professor Positions for Academic Year 2010-2011. Fordham University's Graduate School of Religion and Religious Education (GRE) is committed to cultivating academic competence, scholarly research and ministerial skills in religious education and pastoral studies in accordance with its Catholic, Jesuit tradition. Appointment is for academic year 2010-11 with the possibility of renewal. Applications must include: a letter of application, CV, statement of teaching philosophy, one sample of scholarly work, and evidence of teaching effectiveness. Applicant will have a Ph.D. or equivalent research doctorate, a timely research agenda, evidence of teaching effectiveness, and openness to online teaching. Faculty Position in Christian Education/Discipleship
Asbury Theological Seminary-Wilmore, KY

ASBURY THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY announces a faculty position in Christian Education/Discipleship, on its Wilmore Campus, commencing July 2011. Asbury Theological Seminary is a confessional seminary in the Wesleyan tradition, and enthusiastic agreement with the Seminary’s confessional and ethos statements is essential. The initial appointment is for three years, renewable, tenure-track. Rank is open. Women and minorities are encouraged to apply. Consonant with the Seminary’s commitment to distance learning, the person hired in this position will be expected to offer at least one course per year in the Extended Learning Program. Executive Secretary and Networking Coordinator Positions
The Religious Education Association:Association of Professors, Practitioners and Researchers in Religious Education

The Religious Education Association:Association of Professors, Practitioners and Researchers in Religious Education is seeking qualified persons to fill the part-time, stipended position of Networking Coordinator. Any REA:APPRRE member who wishes to apply may submit a letter of application and a resume (with contact information for 3 references) to the chair of the search committees. In accordance with REA:APPRRE By-laws, the committee will then bring their recommendations for the respective positions to the Board of Directors. Charter Manager
Fetzer Institute, Kalamazoo, MI

The Fetzer Institute seeks an experienced project manager to coordinate partners, events, activities, and resources related to the Charter for Compassion. Terms: 10-month period, September to June 2011, with potential to renew.
Over the next twelve months, the Fetzer Institute will lead the planning, direction and launch of a two-year campaign to raise awareness, engage communities and inspire action related to the Charter for Compassion. The result of Karen Armstrong’s 2008 TED Prize wish, the Charter for Compassion seeks to restore compassionate thinking, and most importantly, compassionate action to the center of religious, moral and political life. The goal of the project during the contract period will be to develop key audiences (religious and interfaith groups, young adults, and organized cities and countries) to move the Charter beyond a written document, enabling people and communities around the globe to put into practice and action the daily work of living from a place of compassion. In addition to continued partnership development and grassroots outreach, there will be additional focus on digital media, online community-building, media outreach, publicity and promotion as ways to extend the reach of the Charter.

Responsibilities
Establish and coordinate strategic activities of the Charter project with key partner organizations, consultants, and individual Charter affirmers Communicate Charter activities among internal and external stakeholders With assistance from the PR consulting team, coordinate all print and electronic communications and publicity Respond to partner inquiries daily with attention to opportunities that will increase awareness and effectiveness of the project Coordinate Charter events calendar with key stakeholders, including Karen Armstrong Monitor and evaluate the impact of new activities and partnerships in accordance with project goals.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree and five to seven years’ work experience in non-profit project management; experience with religious, interfaith, and/or youth groups a plus Expertise in strategic communications, marketing, public relations, community outreach, or related fields Excellent conceptual, analytical, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to absorb the broader meaning and context of the Charter project Experience creating and sustaining successful partnerships; leadership, self-motivation and a strong work ethic Excellent computer skills and comfort using Microsoft Suite applications and performing Internet research A strong sense of authenticity and integrity, respect for diversity, and high ethical standards.
