Second Presbyterian Church in Nashville, Tennessee, seeks a Director of Children’s Ministries to oversee all aspects of programming for children from birth through sixth grade and their families. A growing church with an average worship attendance of 230, Second Presbyterian is known for its vibrant children’s ministry, its intentional embrace of LGBT families and individuals, and its long history of expressing Christ’s love through a deep commitment to social justice and community outreach.
Qualifications include:
• A minimum of 5 years professional experience including at least two years in a leadership role in children’s ministry;
• A bachelor’s degree, preferably in a field related to children’s ministry;
• Ability to “hit the ground running” from the first day of employment;
• A calling to nurture the spiritual lives of children and their families;
• Alignment with the beliefs and practices of the Presbyterian Church USA as well as the mission and core values of Second Presbyterian Church.
