Opening: Practical Theology/Ministry

Anderson University, Anderson, Indiana seeks candidates for a tenure track position in Practical Theology/Ministry to begin August, 2014. Applicants must be able to teach undergraduate courses in youth and family ministry and others that contribute to ministry preparation in a liberal arts context, as well as courses that service distribution requirements in a liberal arts curriculum. The ideal candidate will have earned (or be nearing completion of) a doctorate in an area related to ministry preparation, such as practical theology or religious education. She/he will have significant ministry experience and strong teaching skills. Teaching load will consist of undergraduate courses, some of which may be offered online. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in field education, program supervision, and online learning. The Department of Religious Studies seeks a candidate who will serve as an advocate for women in ministry. Preference will be given to members of the sponsoring church tradition.
